    His Ann GLEED was christened in the parish of Lydiard Tregoze,
    Wiltshire, England 12 November 1809, the daughter of Jacob GLEED
    and Maria ARCHER. Ann had two known illegitimate children. The
    first was Hannah who was christen- ed in Lydiard Tregoze 13
    April 1828 and a son named Edward who was christen- ed in the
    same parish 13 March 1831. According to the church records Ann
    was working in the parish as a labourer. Hannah it appears was
    raised by her grandmother Mariah GLEED 'nee ARCHER in Broad
    Hinton. Edward was raised by his natural father Edward SADLER
    and Edward's father also named Edward. What became of Ann after
    1831 is not known.
