!BIRTH:30 Nov 1875, Jonesboro, Craighead Co., Arkansas. Dave had hazel eyes,
thin build, full head of gray hair, according to Juanita EWING. Had date as
18 Mar 1870 at 0ne time, so clear this conflict???

!MARRIAGE: Charlie Alexander EVANS said that his father, Dave, was in Melburne,
AR and planned to run off to marry Agie. Mr. Page was furious about the idea
and got his gun after Dave. Mrs Page grabbed Mr. Page's gun arm to prevent him
from shooting Dave. The shot struck the roof of the porch. Charlie said that
the bullet hole was still in the roof when he went to visit in 1977.

!DEATH:29 Oct 1959, Lubbock, Lubbock Co., Texas at Horace & Bertha EVAN'S
    house. Death Certificate File #57497.

!BURIAL:Resthaven Cemetery, section Q lot 556 Space 4, Lubbock, Lubbock Co.,
Texas. No marker as yet, 9/6/93.

!NOTE:Dave's son, Charlie, said that his dad once spent the night at the Dalton
Gang's house. He was friends with one of the younger Dalton's. When Dave got
to the Dalton house another guy came up on a horse and the Dalton boy shot
the man dead. There was no other explanation for the shooting. Charlie said
that years afterwards Dave would not talk about his episodes with the Dalton
Boys, even tho he was not one of the gang. Charlie said that even after Dave
was older he was still a pretty good shot with a gun. One day he shot a cat
in the head from about 50' away thru a narrow opening in a porch. Charlie
seemed impressed that his father was still such a good shot.

!I had Date of birth as 18 Mar 1870 too but opted for Franklin Bartley Funeral
Home dates. Burried at Resthaven Section Q Lot 556 Space 4, Lubbock, Texas.

aching all over. Juanita remembers her being deathly ill for about a day before
she died. See Death Certificate #31011, filed under name Aggie Emily EVANS.
Juanita EWING said that she was pregnant with Doyle EWING when Grandma died.
At the time of her death, Aggie & David were operating a Chicken Farm between

!BURIAL:Swedonia Cemetery near Hamlin, Texas. Buried in Northwest Quadrant of

almost midway down on the north edge directly west of the MESECK Plots. The
graves have plants on them. The only graves with plants on them. Four graves
occupy this plot, Lois' stillborn baby, Rossie's 2 girls that burned to death,
& Agnes "Aggie" PAGE. If necessary, a metal detector could distinguish the 3
