(See pg 6, "Aldermans in America.") Possibly Robert and his two brothers came to MA in 1630 and helped to settle Mattopan which later was named Dorchester.

Voyages to America included: "Primrose" 27 JUL 1635 with William Alderman, age 35; "Paula" 6 JUL 1635 with Grace Alderman, age 32; and "Friendship" 8 JUL 1679 with Thomas Alderman, age unkn. These three were possibly relations.

("A in A" pg 6) "Seems to have been the founder of the family at Kettering...sons William, Richard, and Edmund Alderman, daughters Annes, Christian, and Elizabeth Alderman, and brothers Thomas and John Alderman...A letter from
Wesley F. Russell, Woodside, NY,...reads: 'No trace of the family name is found in Kettering after the above incident. I believe that William, Richard, and Edmund were most certainly in the will...It sounds plausible if we assume that the family came to America, as this would account for their disappearance from Kettering.'"
