    Notes:

Mrs. Nancy Jane [Majors] McAnulty, mother of L. F. McAnulty, of Enterprise, died at her home last Thursday. She was 84 years old and lived here for about four years. Burial was at Glenns Ferry, Idaho, where another son, S. A. McAnulty lives.

Until she came to Wallowa county, Mrs. McAnulty and her husband, John W. McAnulty, had lived for some time at Blackwell, Okla. on a farm. They were married 64 years ago. Three weeks ago Mrs. McAnulty fell and severely sprained her left arm. The shock prostrated her and she never recovered from it. Nearly all her life Mrs. McAnulty lived on the westward moving frontier. She was born near Columbus, Ohio, and when young went to Illinois. There her husband was a driver for Lincoln and Douglas when they were traveling through Adams county on their famous joint stumping campaign over Illinois. Later John McAnulty went to western Kansas in the border days and was leader of a buffalo hunting party for some years. At the time there was a great trade in the meat and skins of the buffalo.

Ten children and a score or more grandchildren survive Mrs. McAnulty. John McAnulty, who is 86 years old, will make his home in the future at Glenns Ferry. [1]
