    BIOGRAPHY: Rev John Wallace was Pastor of Pequea Presbyterian Church, in Lancaster County, PA for 33 years. "He was highly esteemed by his ministerial brethren and was known throughout the whole region of his labors as an eminently good and faithful man." BIOGRAPHY: No children in second marriage.

  1. 12.  Charles WALLACE was born on 15 Sep 1760 in Ireland (son of Thomas WALLACE and Mary ST. CLAIR); died on 15 May 1842 in Chester, Chester Co., Pennsylvania.

    Notes:

    BIOGRAPHY: Owned a farm in Highland Township later owned by the heirs of Wesley Freeman.

    Thomas and son Charles served in the Revolutionary War, and were captured by the British during a cavalry skirmish in Bucks County, in January 1778.

    From a journal entry by Charles, Thomas his father, was slashed by an English bayonet from throat to belly, and Charles loaded him into a wagon and drove him to a field hospital where Thomas died.

    The English stopped Charles on the way and he tried not to cry so as not to let the English know Thomas was his father.

    Charles married Ann TRUMAN on 3 Mar 1784. Ann (daughter of John TRUMAN and Rachel) was born on 19 Jul 1762; died on 12 Apr 1808. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
