11213 Third son of Gundioc, King of the Burgundians - After succeeding hisfather with his three brothers, Chilperic II was killed by his brotherGundobad, along with his wife. His two daughters were driven into exile.

Chilperic II (Latin: Chilperikus; c. 450? 493 AD) was the King of Burgundy from 473 until his death. Before that he co-ruled with his father Gondioc beginning in 463. He began his reign in 473 after the partition of Burgundy with his younger brothers Godegisel, Gundobad, and Godomar; he ruled from Valentia Julia (Valence) and his brothers ruled respectively from Geneva, Vienne, and Lyon.

Sometime in the early 470s Chilperic was forced to submit to the authority of the Roman Empire by the magister militum Ecdicius Avitus. In 475 he probably sheltered an exiled Ecdicius after the Visigoths had obtained possession of the Auvergne.

After his brother Gundobad had removed his other brother Godomar (Gundomar) in 486, he turned on Chilperic. In 493 Gundobad assassinated Chilperic and drowned his wife, then exiled their two daughters, Chroma, who became a nun, and Clotilde, who fled to her uncle, Godegisel. When the Frankish king, Clovis I, requested the latter's hand in marriage, Gundobad was unable to decline. Clovis and Godegisel allied against Gundobad in a long, drawn-out civil war.

11215 This Arthur is mentioned and has proved the relationship by a Will mentioned in a lawsuit in May 1813, Adams County. In this lawsuit, William is noted as having died without children, and in his Will, his considerable wealth was to be distributed to his nephews, Arthur Carney of the Choctaw Nation and William Carney of Georgia.

John Cummins and Nancy/Ann Breashears, guardians .
Testimony taken from Samuel Gibson of Port Gibson states that Arthur Carney took possession of some cash found in a trunk following the death of William Carney SR. Marian (aka Maria) & Elizabeth were heirs of Arthur Carney. John Taylor is Wm Carney's Att'y. (See WM Brocus VS Thomas Crabb) William Carney was Samuel Gibson's Uncle. WM Carney Sr. who died Jan 2, 1795 left his entire estate to his nephews. Arthur Carney of the Choctaw Nation & William Carney then of Camden Co. Ga. Arthur Carney deceived Williams as to the value of this estate and William accepted payment of $800.00 for his part witnessed by WM Davis & Rees when the estate was really worth more than $10,000
William Carney states that he was born Feb 28, 1779 and was therefore under age 21 at that time; and that he came to the MS Territory in 1806 and found out the truth about this estate.

Arthur applied to Colonel William Wards Register to become a 'citizen' and remain in Mississippi instead of being removed to Oklahoma:

John Edgerill and Arthur Carney had been partners in mercantile business. Elderill began suit in year 1802, in Mississippi Territory, against Carney for an accounting of partnership. In 1803 before any decree or payment as made, Carney died and wife administered estate, she afterwards married John Cummins, who acted as admr. In right of wife until 1812, Edgergill died in 1807 and suite renewed in the name of Prosper and Richard King. The Kings obtained a degree against Cummins and wife, Joseph Nichols and his wife, who was a daughter of Carney

Adminstrator of Arthur's estate, John Cummings on OCT. 30, 1804....

Arthur Jr of Liberty, GA appears as a Loyalist (banished with some others that appear on 1779 Natchez petition with William Carney. These guys had Tobacco Plantations there to trade with the Indians so they were influential in Politics according to Dr Donald Panther Yates. This Arthur married Celeste Brashears as his white wife 1797 abt so he shouldn't be the same Arthur that married Mary White in NC, Mary went on to AR and died. The White Family in Choctaw, County , AL. So unless there was a divorce or one came right after the other. Celeste Apparantly may have died in childbirth leaving a Daughter Elizabeth. There was a daughter Marian who we don't know was her mother shows up in the Arthur of Natchez Estates lawsuits that went on til Elizabeth was grown, Her Grandmother Anna Brocas Brashears was her guardian. Matilda Cummings Arthur wife who remarried Cummings was in charge of the lawsuits, Marian may be her dau

His Indian Wife was Hoke who he had Jerry with and was baptised in 1795 Mobile, West florida I am thinking by Arthur, Hoke, Louis Leflore as Louis and Hoke 2 girls were baptised abt the same time. this was before he married Celeste Brashears who was a dau of Richard Brashears Commander at Ft. Tombecbe. She was Young abt 17 and she died 1798. After the Arthur in NC was married to Mary White.

Arthur Carney was in one of the Disappearing Counties, Glynn County, GA.
As well as Traders McIntosh, Others. The Traders ususally had white wives in GA and when they brought trade among the Indian Villiages they had a Indian Wife as part of the Culture. Traders usually had one special village to exclusive trade. So, Bourbon County was in Existance as Natchez Counties 1785-1788 which definitely covers the times we have found Arthur with Jerry. The Arthur Brashears person is either our Arthur who may have come to the area again in 1792 or a son of Arthur from GA. I really think a lot of the evidence supports his going back and forth.. A lot of the traders in those times were Scot-Irish Men or British Traders, Carney of Course having come into the area with the French by 1731 was in an excellent position to develop cultural and leadership ties. It was usually the mixed blood children of these men that attained the stature of leadership during the removal period.so we have 2 ties to Traders with Hoke, Louis, and Arthur. There is a lot to substantiate the close ties with the namesakes of Jerry Kids, that kinship probably thru Hoke.or The father of Arthur I will look more into GA records now that I understand where to look. I think it is possible that the info I found GA Paper re Arthur and his orphans Jeremiah and Margaret is on the money. The Will probably ended up in litigation in GA because of the Brashears. Sometimes the Husband of the Daughters entered into that on their Behalf. Where we see that Jerry was in a suit with John Taylor. That could as well been part of the same suit. Never know if could be the Georgia Archives we find Supreme court info. I knew about these GA land schemes as that was mentioned in the Harrington Info, It is the Harrintons involved with Brashears in the Timeframe 1804.
So, The Arthur JR(maybe) could have inheirited as well. So... Just a line of reasoning.Remember the Elizabeth Carney suit Didn't you find they were found in favor of Carney? same as Jerry.?
This is my short list of reasoning for research at this point. as we left off
Hoke, Lefluers, and the law suits. DJ

11216 This birth date is the same as that given for his older brother who died in infancy. MARVIN, Reinold (I3371)

11217 THIS Countess Margaret, Countess Lincoln, de Quincy is the cousin of Countess Margaret, Countess Derby, de Quincy.
----------------------------
Margaret de Quincy, suo jure 2nd Countess of Lincoln (c. 1206 ? March 1266) was a wealthy English noblewoman and heiress having inherited in her own right the Earldom of Lincoln and honours of Bolingbroke from her mother Hawise of Chester, received a dower from the estates of her first husband, and acquired a dower third from the extensive earldom of Pembroke following the death of her second husband, Walter Marshal, 5th Earl of Pembroke. Her first husband was John de Lacy, 2nd Earl of Lincoln, by whom she had two children. He was created 2nd Earl of Lincoln by right of his marriage to Margaret. Margaret has been described as "one of the two towering female figures of the mid-13th century".[1]

Family
Margaret was born in about 1206, the daughter and only child of Robert de Quincy and Hawise of Chester, herself the co-heiress of her uncle Ranulf de Blondeville, 6th Earl of Chester. Hawise became suo jure Countess of Chester in April 1231 when her brother resigned the title in her favour.

Her paternal grandfather, Saer de Quincy, 1st Earl of Winchester was one of the 25 sureties of the Magna Carta; as a result he was excommunicated by the Church in December 1215. Two years later her father died after having been accidentally poisoned through medicine prepared by a Cistercian monk.[2]

Life
On 23 November 1232, Margaret and her husband John de Lacy, Baron of Pontefract were formally invested by King Henry III as Countess and Earl of Lincoln. In April 1231 her maternal uncle Ranulf de Blondeville, 1st Earl of Lincoln had made an inter vivos gift, after receiving dispensation from the crown, of the Earldom of Lincoln to her mother Hawise. Her uncle granted her mother the title by a formal charter under his seal which was confirmed by King Henry III. Her mother was formally invested as suo jure 1st Countess of Lincoln on 27 October 1232 the day after her uncle's death. Likewise her mother Hawise of Chester received permission from King Henry III to grant the Earldom of Lincoln jointly to Margaret and her husband John, and less than a month later a second formal investiture took place, but this time for Margaret and her husband John de Lacy. Margaret became 2nd Countess of Lincoln suo jure (in her own right) and John de Lacy became 2nd Earl of Lincoln by right of his wife. (John de Lacy is mistakenly called the 1st Earl of Lincoln in many references.)

In 1238, Margaret and her husband paid King Henry the large sum of 5,000 pounds to obtain his agreement to the marriage of their daughter Maud to Richard de Clare, 6th Earl of Hertford, 2nd Earl of Gloucester.

On 22 July 1240 her first husband John de Lacy died. Although he was nominally succeeded by their only son Edmund de Lacy (c.1227-1258) for titles and lands that included Baron of Pontefract, Baron of Halton, and Constable of Chester, Margaret at first controlled the estates in lieu of her son who was still in his minority and being brought up at the court of Henry III and Eleanor of Provence. In 1243, Margaret inherited the manor of Grantchester on the death of her mother Hawise. [3]

Edmund was allowed to succeed to his titles and estates at the age of 18. Edmund was also Margaret's heir to the Earldom of Lincoln and also her other extensive estates that included the third of the Earldom of Pembroke that she had inherited from her second husband in 1248. Edmund was never able to become Earl of Lincoln, however, as he predeceased his mother by eight years.

As the widowed Countess of Lincoln suo jure, Margaret was brought into contact with some of the most important people in the county of Lincolnshire. Among these included Robert Grosseteste, Bishop of Lincoln, the most significant intellectual in England at the time who recognised Margaret's position as Countess of Lincoln to be legitimate and important, and he viewed Margaret as both patron and peer. He dedicated Les Reules Seynt Robert, his treatise on estate and household management, to her.[4]

Margaret died in 1266, and left her estates to her grandson, Henry de Lacy, Earl of Lincoln.[5]

Marriages and issue
Sometime before 21 June 1221, Margaret married as his second wife, her first husband John de Lacy of Pontefract. The purpose of the alliance was to bring the rich Lincoln and Bolingbroke inheritance of her mother to the de Lacy family.[6] John's first marriage to Alice de l'Aigle had not produced issue; although John and Margaret together had two children:

Maud de Lacy (25 January 1223- 1287/10 March 1289), married in 1238 Richard de Clare, 6th Earl of Hertford, 2nd Earl of Gloucester, by whom she had seven children.
Edmund de Lacy, Baron of Pontefract (died 2 June 1258), married in 1247 Alasia of Saluzzo, daughter of Manfredo III of Saluzzo, by whom he had three children, including Henry de Lacy, 3rd Earl of Lincoln.
She married secondly on 6 January 1242, Walter Marshal, 5th Earl of Pembroke, Lord of Striguil, Lord of Leinster, Earl Marshal of England, one of the ten children of William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke and Isabel de Clare, 4th Countess of Pembroke. This marriage, like those of his four brothers, did not produce any children; therefore when he died at Goodrich Castle on 24 November 1245, Margaret inherited a third of the Earldom of Pembroke as well as the properties and lordship of Kildare.

Her dower third outweighed any of the individual holdings of the 13 different co-heirs of the five Marshal sisters which meant she would end up controlling more of the earldom of Pembroke and lordship of Leinster than any of the other co-heirs; this brought her into direct conflict with her own daughter, Maud, whose husband was by virtue of his mother Isabel Marshal one of the co-heirs of the Pembroke earldom.[7] As a result of her quarrels with her daughter, Margaret preferred her grandson Henry de Lacy who would become the 3rd Earl of Lincoln on reaching majority (21) in 1272. She and her Italian daughter-in-law Alasia of Saluzzo shared in the wardship of Henry who was Margaret's heir, and the relationship between the two women appeared to have been cordial.[8]

Death and legacy
Margaret was a careful overseer of her property and tenants, and gracious in her dealings with her son's children, neighbours and tenants.[9] She received two papal dispensations in 1251, the first to erect a portable altar; the other so that she could hear mass in the Cistercian monastery.[10] Margaret died in March 1266[11][12] at Hampstead. Her death was recorded in the Annals of Worcester and in the Annals of Winchester.[11] She was buried in the Church of the Hospitallers in Clerkenwell.[11]

Margaret was described as "one of the two towering female figures of the mid-13th century"; the other being Ela, Countess of Salisbury.

11224 THIS family, which is of ancient extraction, was undoubtedly situated at Chetwode in Buckinghamshire, long before the conquest.

John Chetwode, the ancestor, from whom this pedigree is clearly deduced, was a person of note in his time, being a knight, and lord of the manor of Chetwode. This John had issue, Robert Chetwode, lord of Chetwode, who founded the priory of Chetwode in the life-time of his father; and the said John, and Robert, with , his wife, lie buried in the church belonging to the said priory, as appeared by an ancient monument, which was defaced after the suppression of the said priory.

Robert had issue, Sir Rause Chetwode, Knt. who had issue, Robert Chetwode, lord of Chetwode, who lived 5 Henry I. and married Sibell, daughter of Thomas Strange. He attended King Richard I. into Syria; and, for his achievement in arms, received the honour of knighthood from that prince, in Palestine; and, on his return from the holy wars, received other singular marks of that monarch's favour.

Robert had issue, John Chetwode, Knt. and William Chetwode, a second son, who was seised of lands in Horton, in Kent. " - Source - The Baronetage of England: Containing a Genealogical and ..., Volume 2> Par Thomas Wotton,Richard A. Johnson,Edward Kimber:

According to tradition, and backed up by contemporary anecdotal accounts, Robert de Chetwode was a crusader in the Third Crusade with Richard I of England, known as the Lionhearted. Sir Robert was knighted by Richard I during the Crusades for heroic acts while fighting in Palestine against Saladin.

11247 This is "THE WIDDOW FAURE"
Her husband died fighting for King William III of England in exchange for land in the "New World". She traveled with her remaining family to America and only had a red leather trunk when she arrived.

In 1646, Daniel Isaac Faure I married Marie Anne Thibaut (1630-1701) in La Rochelle-Normande, France. She is the daughter of Jean and Elizabeth Tribault. Daniel and Marie Anne had four children. They were: Daniel Isaac Faure II (1647-1701), Jacques Faure (1654-1710), Marie Ann Faure (1652-1750), and Anne Thibault Faure (1658-1760).

11248 This is a different family than the Earls of Ross.

The name Rose of Geddes changed to Rose of Kilravock when Hugh Rose of Geddes' son, of the same name, acquired the barony or lands of Kilravock near Inverness through his marriage with Mary, daughter of Sir Andrew de Bosco (Knight), of Redcastle, who inherited the barony of Kilravock through her mother Elizabeth (Lady of Kilravock), who was third daughter and co-heiress of Sir John Bisset (Knoight) of Lovat, Kilravock becoming the chief title of the family, Hugh Rose obtained that addition to his possessions, the deed of conveyance being confirmed by charter from King John Baliol, in 1293.
