  Stonemason. Nashville Union and AMerican Newspaper 21 Jul 1874, Tuesday: "The Deadly Revolver" An Unarmed Man Shot Down in the Markethouse. The Wound Likely to Prove Mortal - Release of the Assailand on Bond. About 1 o'clock yesterday, August Miller shot John Bunch in the market-house, inflicting a serious wound in the upper portion of the chest, from which the bloof flowed freely. The wounded man ran a few feed, exclaiming "Oh, I'm shot! I'm shot!" Bunch had accused Miller of being a cow thief, and Miller shot John Bunch. They also had a disagreement about some drift lumber at the time of high water.
