- He [Nicholas Audley] married (settlment (1329/30-1330/1) 5 Edward III, both being then under 12) Elizabeth, daughter of Henry (BEAUMONT)) LORD BEAUMONT, by Alice, suojure COUNTESS OF BUCHAN [Scotland]. He died s.p., 22 July 1391, (Writ for Inq. p. m. 30 July 1391) when the BARONY OF AUDLEY, 'together, apparently, with the BARONY OF MARTIN, fell (in accordance with modern doctrine) into abeyance between his sisters or their descendants. Will dated and probated the year of his death. His widow died 27 October 1400. Her will, in which she directs to be bur. in Hulton Abbey, with "my very honourable husband Lord D'Audeley," dated 30 September and proved 2 November of the same year.
