      Elizabeth,

Source: Letter from Mabel Ponder Wilson to "Chee Chee", dated 12 Aug
      1952:
"I found that James, Abner, and Amos Ponder owned land in the old
      Ninety
Six Dist in 1785-1786. James moved to Scriven County in 1801, Amos
      and Abner
      to Oglethorpe.

One James Ponder served in the Rev War with Abner and Amos Ponder.
      These could
be the sons of Daniel Ponder.

Catherine Ponder in a letter to me, dated 23 Oct 1988, wrote "Last
      year we
received correspondence from Emma Ponder Wood. She is a descendant
      of James
Ponder, a brother of the Rev. soldier Amos. James m a sister of
      Violet Luckey.
She and her sister have just finished a book on their ancestors. I
      just
received a copy last week. I think the way it is printed is
      somewhat confusing
and I have not had time to read much of it. She is charging $30 for
      hardbound
and $20 for softbound. She is Emma Jean Ponder Wood or just Jean
      Wood, Rt 1,
      Box 38A, Chidester, AR 71726."
