    • Inherited 100 acres of land in Louisa County and the home plantation. On March 14, 1742, he bought 120 acres of land from his brothers - William and Henry. John died unmarried. In his will he left 15 lbs. to his sister Lucrecia Meredith, 10lbs. to Nannie, the daughter of William Bunch, and the remainder to be divided among his brothers, Samuel, David and James.
