  From Shanon Gilbert Blanton: "I have a copy of Mathias Chitwood's (Matthias-Capt. James-Shadrack, b. 1799) family BIBLE. Also, I have a copy of the death certificate of one of his children. Both copies list the wife of Matthias as NANCY WRIGHT not NANCY TATE as is most often listed on the internet. I am descended from Matthias and Nancy through their daughter, Malissa (Reuben Jefferson Malone); her daughter, Nancy (Charles A. Parrish); and her daughter, Fannie (Joe John Burt). Their daughter is my mother. Shanon Gilbert Blanton" Matthias is buried next to fathers large monument in Lebanon Cemetery, Dekalb County, Alabama.
