  NEW INFO: From Susan Abruscato Jacob McCarty was born prior to 1749, and was married to Catherine Standley, daughter of David and Hannah Standley of Anson/tryon/Mecklenburg Co Nc. Mecklenburg Co., NC, pp. 167-170; May 1 and May 2, 1765 "Daniel McCarty and wife Agnes of Mecklenburg Millwright to George Allen of same, planter. Wit: Francis and Agnes Beaty, David Standley" This David Standley is Jacob McCarty's father-in-law. In April 1770, Daniel and Jacob McCarty, along with David Stanley/Standley along with his father John Stanley all obtained land on Ucher Creek, St Paul's Parish, Ga. Jacob was listed as having a wife and one child. According to British law he had to have been at least 21 years old to get this land. The Jacob who was married to Mary Morrow wasn't born until about 1765. Jacob died in Stewart Co Tn in 1812.
