- BIOGRAPHY: Marey was the daughter of Thomas Griffin and Elizabeth Welton. Spear states that Marey was first married to John Fosbush by whom she had a daughter Lydia in 1720. Seaver states that she was the daughter of Jno. and Anna Bancroft Griffin. Bowman thinks he is in error as she is listed in the will of Thomas.
