  Robert Woodson one of the executors of Benj. Woodson, decd. the sum of £5: Curr. being in full satisfaction and discharge of my wife's part and Portion of the estate of the said Benjamin Woodson, decd. Cumberland Co. (signed) John Allen. Ibid. p,316. Will of Robert Woodson, Goochland Co. John Woodson & James the land & plantation whereon I now dwell to be equally divided in quantity between them; son John to have the uppermost part the plantation my son James to have the lowermost part; other five children namely Benja. Woodson, Robert Woodson, Eliza. Woodson, Mary Woodson & Sarah Woodson after my debts & funiry charges are paid the residue of estate both real & personal to be equally divided amongst them except one young cow which to wife Rebecca Woodson; wife loaned whole estate until children come of age my sons at twenty-one years of age to inherit their parts and my daughters at the age of eighteen to inherit their parts and if any of aforesaid children should die without issue then their parts to be equally divided among the rest; son James Woodson to continue with his Uncle Joseph Woodson until he comes of age; I likewise desire my children may be put to school my sons to learn to read & write my daughters to read; brothers William Woodson & Jos. Woodson executors. Witnesses: John-(X)-Wright, Thomas Wright, William Christian. Dated May 7, 1748. Proved Sept. 19, 1750.
