  HOMAS DE ASTLEY (or ASTELEY), Knt., of Astley, Bentley, and Weddington, Warwickshire, Broughton, Leicestershire, and Crick, Northamptonshire, son and heir of Giles de Astley, Knt., by Alice, 2nd daughter and co-heiress of Thomas de Wolvey, Knt., of Wolvey, Warwickshire. married before 1336/7 ELIZABETH DE BEAUCHAMP,(as his 2nd wife) daughter of Guy de Beauchamp, 10th Earl of Warwick and Alice de Toni. Thomas married Elizabeth de Beauchamp before 1336. Thomas and Elizabeth had children: 1.) Thomas Astley; 2.) William Astley; 3.) Giles Astley; 4.) Alice Astley. He was married previously to MARGARET ___, who was living 15 Jul 1334. They had no known issue. He was heir in 1325 to his uncle, Nicholas de Astley, 2nd Lord Astley. On 27 March 1326 having proved his age, he succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Astley. In 1338 he founded a chantry in Astley, Warwickshire, which, in 1343, he had sanction to change into a collegiate church. He was summoned to Parliament from 25 Feb. 1342/3 to 10 Mar 1349/50.on 25 February 1342/43, by writ. Thomas Astley died in 1385.
