  Lady Beatrix Douglas was the daughter of James Douglas, 7th Earl of Douglas and Beatrice Sinclair.1 She married William Hay, 1st Earl of Erroll, son of Gilbert of the Haye and Alice Hay, circa 17 March 1449/50.1 From circa 17 March 1449/50, her married name became Hay. After her marriage, Lady Beatrix Douglas was styled as Countess of Erroll on 12 June 1452.
