  Biography Birth and Parents George Ormerod's pedigree "Egerton of Ergerton" shows Philip de Egerton as the son and heir of David de Malpas, alias de Egerton, son and heir, and his wife Cecilia, daughter of Randle le Roter, lord of Thornton. 1295 Sheriff Philip, the eldest son of David and Cecilia, was Sheriff of Cheshire in 1295. Croston. Marriage Croston shows Philip married to Margaret, daughter of Richard de Wrenbury by Katherine, daughter of lady Matilda de Courtray. Philip died about 1317. Issue Ormerod shows Philip de Egerton and his wife Margaret as the parents of the following children: 1.) David de Egerton, eldest son and heir, sheriff of Cheshire 7 Edw III married Isabella, daughter of Richard de Fulleshurst, lord of Crewe. David de Egerton, who married Isabell, the daughter of Richard de Fouleshurst. 2.)
