      Grew up on family farm Campbell Township, Ava, MO. Married Lavina Sanders in her parents home in Campbell Township, Ava, MO
      Farmed mostly corn, raised some sugar cane and made molasses. He had two threshers, and used these to thresh other farmers grain. (the threshers were steam engines). All of his equipment was horse drawn; also had two balers and baled for other folks. He ran a saw mill for a while.
      He died with high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries and heart failure.

      Married--On Sunday, Sept. 30th, 1888, at the residence of the bride"s parents in Campbell township, G. W. Horner and Miss Lovinia Sanders; Rev. W. J. Fulton, officiating.
