HENDERSON (& others) to RODES This Indenture made and Entered into this 12th March 1830 between JOHN HENDERSON and SARAH his wife, JOHN LAUGHLIN and REBECCA his wife, ROBERT WALKUP and POLLY his wife, and CHARLES LAUGHLIN and ROSANNA his wife, heirs of HENRY LAUGHLIN deceased and all of Boone County Missouri and JESSE TURNER of said County of the first part and WILLIAM RODES of the Second part Witnesseth that said party of the first part for the Consideration of two hundred dollars have granted bargained and Sold and quit claimed to the said RODES all their right title Interest and claim in and to a certain Tract of land lying in Madison County Kentucky on Silver Creek being a part of NICHOLAS PROCTOR'S Survey of 400 acres and being the same tract purchased of LUCAS VANA(I)DALE by HENRY LAUGHLIN and all the Interest of said party of the first part in the (Bond) of LUCAS VANA( )DALE and the Said party of the first part bind themselves to defend said tract of land against all persons claiming by through or under them It being understood however that said (total fade on page) to be responsible except to defend against all claims which may hereafter be set up to said came by himself and said CHARLES LAUGHLIN and wife (in witness ) whereof the party of the first part have hereunto set their hand and seals the day and date first herein written JOHN HENDERSON SEAL CHARLES LAUGHLIN SEAL SARAH HENDERSON SEAL ROSANNAH LAUGHLIN SEAL JOHN LAUGHLIN SEAL JESSE TURNER SEAL REBECCA LAUGHLIN SEAL **SEE BELOW ROBERT WALKUP SEAL POLLY WALKUP SEAL **inserted in this area of the deed the following: The Said TURNER for himself and ( ) in Each for Cha's LAUGHLIN & wife and the said JOHN HENDERSON for himself and the other heirs of H.
