Notes - Despite her husband's birth in Switzerland, Mary was born in East Prussia not Switzerland as assumed by others, and incorrectly stated on Find-a-Grave. She came to the US with her family originating in East Poland and she was recorded on the 1875 Census with her family in Junction City, Kansas. She married the next year in 1876 to Christian Jacob and started her family with him, having three children.
In 1880 they located on a farm in the Upland area of Dickinson County where they resided until death. The surviving three children of the home, Charles, Elizabeth and Mary. Mary died nine months prior to her husband.
