  Biography Speculation provides that his father might be Rev. William Wilkinson, but no known records survive to support this. Using the Pedigree chart from the book below in sources, this would not be the case. This Richard would be born about 1612 of the Isle of Wight. He would be the father of Richard Wilkinson born abt 1648. Granted land in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, on August 13, 1646 for 236 acres in the county of Isle of Wight. He had acquired by purchase 100 of those acres from Richard Death. His estimated birth between 1610 and 1615 assumes he was at least 30 years old when he got this land patent. This verifies the disconnect mentioned above from father William born 1612 and Naomi born 1616.
