  Hurtis Williamson, 84, formerly of Benton Harbor, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, in Batesville, Ark. Born April 20, 1918, in Finley, Tenn., he was the son of Mack Williamson and Frances Grooms Williamson. He retired after 30 years with Whirlpool Corp. and was a member of the Southside Assembly of God Church. Survivors include: his wife of 59 years, Freda Williamson; a son, Johnnie Williamson of Watervliet; two daughters -- Shirley Guthrie of Kansas City, Kan., and Glenda Williamson of Batesville, Ark.; a sister, Lavenia Stewart of Murray, Ky.; eight grandchildren -- Angie Wilson, Sandy Amos, Earnie Johnson, Heather Keirn, David Williamson, Sarah Williamson, Leon Offutt and Angela Becerra; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Mack Williamson and David Williamson; three brothers, Emmett Williamson, Ted Williamson and Roy Williamson; a half-sister Celeste Sumter; and a granddaughter, Julie Johnson.
