Mom liked to do so many things. She made braided wool rugs from old wool coats she bought at Goodwill. She knitted, put up wall paper, layed brick, loved to garden and had a real green thumb, she could grow anything. She was a member of the Loom Society and had a huge loom she made rugs on. She smoked and liked to have a glass of beer. She was always trying to gain weight, but just couldn't. She was about 105 pounds most of her life. She liked maple furniture and loved to decorate her home. She always had to be doing something, she had so much nervous energy. When dad died she felt so alone she had to find someone to marry. She went on a cruise to Hawaii and met a man that told her about New Port Beach. She moved there with my little brother Brint. She met a rich, retired banker whom she married. He knew alot of society people in New Port Beach and Palm Beach and she just loved those couple of years she was married to him. His name was Chester Grant.
