Notes - Carroll was in C.S.A.
Following from Woodie Wallace: Clarisy Kerney died in March 1860 - inflamation - sorethroat - pneumonia (See E Russ Williams history of Marion County, MS page 235).
Carroll was a member of Captain Bradford's Artillery from Columbia MS in the Civil War and died in Vicksburg, MS in 1862. He married Clarisa August 17, 1848 and fathered many children by her. After Clarisa died, his sister Thankful Ann with husband William Givens moved in to help with household and children. Since Clarisa died in 1860 and his second wife Georgianne Dunaway moved in after the sister and husband had been keeping house for Carroll thereafter, the marriage with Georgianne Dunaway must have been of short duration.
- Carroll was in C.S.A.
