He [William Tailboys] married Elizabeth, daughter of William, LORD BONVILLE. He died at Newcastle-on-Tyne, circa 26 May 1464, and was buried in the Grey Friars at Newcastle. SIR ROBERT TAILBOYS, of Kyme, son and heir, aged 40 at his mother's death in 1491. The attainder of his father was reversed in 1472, whereby his father's honours were restored to him, and he became dejure LORD KYME. M.P. for co. Lincoln, 1472 and January 1477/8. Sheriff of co. Lincoln, 1480. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John HERON. He died 30 January 1494/5, and was buried in Kyme Priory. Agnes was imprisoned in the Tower of London in 1541 (with her son Lord William Howard and Margaret his wife, and her daughter the Countess of Bridgewater), and attainted for misprision of treason in concealing the 'evil life' of her step-granddaughter, Katherine Howard, before her marriage to the King Henry VIII.
