He married first, Mrs. Sarah PAYNE, widow of James Payne, and second (mentioned in his will) Ann LEE, the daughter of Richard and Lettice {Corbin} Lee, and the widow of Colonel William Fitzhugh. Magazine of April, 1922, relative to the acceptance by Fairfax County,

Daniel McCarty fought Cherokee Indians in Lincoln County.
