Amasa Campbell married Maria ( according to his testimony) when she was 20 years old. " By consent Amasa Campbell was recalled (from the Civil War) and states that his wife Maria Jane Campbell died in September 1874 leaving behind one child surviving her named Adella Catherine about 3 months old at the death of its Mother. The child died on the 25th November 1874 having neither brother or sister living at the time of it's death." June 15, 1875.
According to testimony of Sarah J. Goldsberry, July 20, 1875, "...my sister Mariah J. Campbell died September 25, 1874 having her husband and one child named Delia Catherine...the child died 25th of November 1874 just 2 months after the death of it's Mother."

A nephew Robert Goldsberry died during the Civil War at Colombus, Mississippi in 1862. Mary B. Goldsberry and Moriah Campbell died in 1874. Moriah J. Campbell left a daughter Dilia Catherine about three months old surviving. She died November 24, 1874. The James Goldsberry home was about three miles from Prospect. Sarah J. Goldsberry died testate 1865 leaving her propert to her neices, children of her deceased brother Henry.
I'm thinking that the name Dilia could be Delilah?? Especially since Maria is spelled Moriah.
Mariah married Amasa CAMPBELL on 21 Feb 1866. Amasa died on 4 Feb 1927 in Giles County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
