Sarah FREEMAN married Moses STAMPS 5 Dec 1826. This info from the Coweta Chronicles.
Sara is believed to have been born about 1806. Her tombstone reads Sarah Stamps Redwine, w/o Moses Stamps and Jacob REDWINE, aged 76 years.
The marriage to Jacob Redwine is recorded GA, Coweta Co, Book C, page 539. Jacob REDWINE to Mrs. Sarah Stamps 31, Jan 1865.
This would make the marriage 25 years after Jacob (s/o Ludwig) had died. Since Jacob Jr. didn't die until 1866, I guess he could have married her in 1865.

son of Jacob Redwine II-Nancy Trimble both are buried at Mt. Gilead Methodist Church, Fairburn Rd., S Fulton Cty., Ben Hill, GA

This family has disappeared with noone knowing anything about them. Were they renegades or something? Were they deadbeats? Did they not have any association with the Redwine family? What is going on? How can family live and go to church with each other and then just poof-disappear? Nancy Trimble Redwine was a charter member of Mt. Gilead Methodist Church, 1824.
I just do not know or understand.
Thanks for a reply.

David:
Everyone knows all about these Redwine's. Noone seem to know about James Oliver Redwine-son of Jacob Redwine and his family. James Oliver married Elizabeth Hathcock and from there all seems to be lost. The Redwine that I am searching for is Jacob Alonzo Redwine who married Rebecca Jane Kleckley (Sarah) Derick/Derrick in Henry County, GA. This family was visiable enough in Fulton County to have a road named for them. They lived on this road. Part of this road is now abandoned and you are unable to access it by car. You are able to walk down it to a point and even the drive that led to Andrew Redwine's, son of Jacob Alonzo, house is still there. Redwine Lake is still there and people park on Camp Creek Parkway and fish in it. The other part of this road leads into the city of EastPoint, GA. No-one lives on the closed part of this road and no one seems to know who owns the property.
Noone knows where this family or any of their descendents. They are just names on paper. Even the families that still attend Mt. Gilead Methodist Church either do not know or are unwilling to talk about this family. Some are even related to them. One woman Fannie Kate Cash is the cousin of Andrew Redwine, son of Jacob Alonzo, g son of James Oliver. Their grandmothers were sisters. How do families disappear? What happens to their descendents? Why are relatives reluctant to talk about them? Shirley

Notes:
In the war with Britain in 1814, John Marshburn Redwine served as a private in Captain Joseph Whorton's company in the Jackson County, Georgia Militia. His service is listed as January 5 - February 15, 1814. This per information found in the Redwine family file at the Georgia Archives.
In Deeds of GA, Franklin Co., 1784-1826, by Martha Acker, I find these entries concerning John Marshburn Redwine: "DEED dated Franklin Co., 4 Nov. 1817, rec. 4 Aug. 1824, from William Hall of afore said to JOHN REDWINE of same. In cons. of $25, conveys 71 ac. in Franklin Co. on north side of Rice Crk., adj. John Groover and said Hall. Wit: Joshua Hearne, Andrew Shelnut. Sworn to by Hearne before Richard C. Wit: John McFarland, Joshua Hearne. Sworn to by Hearne before Richard C. Bond, J.P. 17 April, 1824."
It should be noted that the Index to the 1820 Georgia census has John Redwine living in Madison County. This is more that likely correct as John may have had land adjoining Madison and Franklin counties.
In 1830, John Redwine is living in Coweta County, Georgia. he died there in the city of Palmetto on November 25, 1841.
The middle name of John came from the files of Becki Redwine.

Obituary of John D. Parker
"Brother John D. Parker, a venerable father in Israel, was removed from the church militant to the church triumphant on the 29th of March 1878, in the 80th year of his age.
In early life he professed religion and joined the M.E. Church, and from this time to the day of his death he continued to manifest the desire of salvation by doing "no harm", and "by doing good," both to the bodies and souls of men, so much so, that he was a model Christain. He loved the Church of Christ, especially the branch of it to which he belonged. He loved her institutions and ordinances.
For over fifty years he held the office of class leader, and was for the most of the time was a steward. As a class leader, he was very efficient, watching closely after the spiritual interest to those committed to his care, and if any one of his class should in any way violate the laws of the church, or go astray in any way, he set himself to work at once to restore such a one; and if by prayers and exhortations he failed to restore him, he at once brought him before the church - always with loving kindness. With dram drinkers or drunkards in the church, he had little patience. As a steward he was faithful, discharging his duty acceptably. He made it a rule for many years at the fourth quarterly conference to ask, "What is our church behind?" and if there was any deficiency, would invariably foot the bill. As a citizen he was highly esteemed. Being a man of sound judgment, his neighbors sought his counsel in almost all of their differences; and his godly counsels were almost invariably heeded and obeyed. In the pursuits of the secular business of life he was diligent and strictly honest. By the strict observance of the "golden rule," he but seldom, if ever, had a bitter feeling against him, although his business caused him to have to deal, more or less, with all classes of men. He was blessed with almost uninterrupted health, being very robust and active up to some five years past, when his physical and mental powers began to give way. For the past two years he had but little mind left; but in all of his mental deficiency he never forgot the Church of God - would often go to the failed to go on the regular church day and seemed conscious that his time was drawing previous to his death he spoke of his approaching before any one knew that he was any worse than returned to him, and he talked with his son of to heaven. Thus passed away this holy man, afflicted wife and several children, brothers and sisters to mourn their loss, all of whom have our sympathies"
A stampless letter was sold on the internet (e-bay) having a circular date stamp for GAINESVILLE Ga SEP 30, a handwritten 10 cent rate, and is addressed to Mr. Lewis Parker, Parkers Store, Franklin, Geo. [Georgia], and is a lengthy two and a half page 'Dear Bro' letter written by John Parker. The headline is Gainesville 26th Sept 1838.
Some abstracts:
"Tomorrow morning I expect to start to the Wesley Manual labour School in Houstin County and have not time to fill up an of my letter with apologies ..."
"My family are well and my children grow very fast and learn very well ..."
"I shall nearly make a support independent of my school and for that I still get one thousand dollars and the tuition of my own children. You say why then do I think of leaving and going so far down the country ..... suffice it to say I do not know that I shall go, but I have been offered a fine salary and many other inducements."
"I am pleased with the manual labour plan of education and believe it will soon be the popular system of education."
"You enquired what I know of Uncle Daniel Redwine, I have no very recent word from him ..."
"One word to Franklin, My Dear Son, my heart was glad we I heard you had joined the church and now while I write about it my eyes swim with tears. You have done exactly right."
"Now Franklin you must read a great deal, pray a great deal."
"Bro. Lewis tell all the boys not to think hard of me for not writing to them for there is not one thing in my heart but the good Lord will approbate towards you all and tell them not to do as I do but as I ought to do."
Condition of the letter rates average, some separations along the small folds, tear opposite the seal area. As usual with stampless letters, after writing on one or more sides of a sheet of paper, the letter was folded several times and mailed.

LAST WILL OF LEWIS PARKER
STATE OF GEORGIA, HART COUNTY
In the name of God, Amen.
I. Lewis Parker of said state and county, of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper both as respects my family and myself that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me, do therefore make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me.
1st Item. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian-like manner, suitable to my circumstances and conditions of life. My soul, I trust, shall return to rest with God who gave it.
2nd Item. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid by my executors hereinafter appointed.
3rd Item. It is my will and desire that my three single daughters, Barbara Rebecca Jane, Frances Clemantine, and Elvira Manerva, have the use of the homestead and plantation, or such portions of it as they may need together with the family tools and stock of every kind after selling off enough to pay the debts, with the growing crop and provisions on hand so long as they or either of them remain single, or until they voluntarily forsake it as a home.
It is my will and desire that my three unmarried daughters have each a cow, a bed, and furniture all to be worth fifty dollars whenever they may need them to make them equal with those married.
It is my will and desire that my youngest son, Seaborn Parks, have the sorrel colt not yet a year old which I consider, when he comes to maturity, will be equal in value to the horse and saddle of my other sons.
When my plantation is no longer required as above mentioned it is my will and desire that it be sold together with the farming tools and stock and whatever else pertains to it, and distribute as follows:
4th Item. I give and bequeath to my daughters, Arminda E. A. Allison, to my daughter Nancy C. Pearman; to the orphan child of my deceased daughter Mary C. Kay; to my daughter, Barbara Rebecca Jane; to my daughter Frances Clemantine; and my daughter Elvira Manerva, fifty dollars each to make their portions equal with that already received by my three sons.
After the above mentioned bequest is paid off it is my will and desire that the residue of my estate be equally divided between my three sons, Benjamin Franklin, Joseph Henry Howard, Seaborn Parks, my five daughters above mentioned and the orphan child of my deceased daughter, Mary C. Kay.
5th Item. I hereby constitute and appoint my worthy friend, Jefferson Holland executor of this my last will and testament, this the 20th, November, 1865.
Signed, sealed, and published by Lewis Parker as his last will and testament in the presence of us, the subscribers who subscribe their names hereunto of said testator at his special instance and request and of each other.
November 20, 1865.
